Strategic Management: VF Corporation Analysis

 

This project was a 16 week long in-depth strategic analysis of a publicly traded company. The goal of this study was to find new forms of sustainable competitive advantage for this company. The company my team chose was VF Corporation. We were drawn to the challenge of finding a competitive edge for a large, dynamic player in the highly saturated retail industry. The semester ended with my team presenting our findings to a panel of senior level business professionals.

This paper outlines a community development project to take place in Maputo, Mozambique. It was an assignment for my International Development course. The goal of this project was to find ways to bring healthy sustainable development to an underdeveloped community. I chose to do this study on Maputo because I knew I would be traveling there about a month after the paper was due.
